This report describes the development of a spherical structural module made of a titanium pyroceramic combination. The results of testing on two hemispherical models to pressure of 1800 psi and 4200 psi, and a complete 18 inch scale model to 5400 psi are described. The development of material strength characteristics and the important aspects of glass structure design are discussed.
